(1) Objectives
This institute engages in biological and ecological studies of the micro-organisms beneficial to agriculture, forestry, and/or fishery, as well as engineering practical technology for transformative utilization of agricultural, forest, and marine resources by an application of such organisms, to encourage development in these industries.

(2) Enterprises
1. Research into micro-organisms useful for transmitting energy effectively from natural resources and engineering technical methodology.
2. Research and engineering of technology to convert agricultural, forest, or marine resources and micro-organisms into food or food materials.
3. Production and application of compost and other methods to encourage and enhance the soil' s natural nourishing power.
